As goes ITunes...

Interesting arguments are raised in the iTunes post, but they require a bit more unpacking. Lets get clearer with how the argument works. I would suggest that the warrant is tied up in how we think about the term 'steal.' What are the limits of lending and borrowing? Why is it sometimes OK and sometimes not? What is the relationship between the writer and the performer as author? How do each of us understand 'property' when it is art or culture?



These are issues that Lessig is suggestiong we consider before jumping in with the POV controlled by media corporations, who have little short term interest in the vitality of ideas in the Public Domain.
